www.busyteacherscafe.com

In today's school with so many children assigned to the classroom, there is always a person who goes over and beyond what is expected. The creator of this website has done just that. This website is a great resource for  k-6 teachers. Of course, it is a for profit site since it has links to their store but many of the resources are free to use. The site provides several ideas on thematic units that can be used throughout the year in addition to colorful and fun calendars. Also, it provides teaching and classroom management strategies or it directs the user to other sites that could help. Finally, the site provides printables for extra practice or homework activities. Overall, this is a great site that is easy to navigate and complete.

www.kellyskindergarten.com

As some of my fellow classmates have already stated, this website is awesome. It is so great that it is worth to be mentioned one more time. If you are a kindergarten teacher and haven't visited this site, what are you waiting for?! Kelly has done a great job in making things that seem overwhelming such as designing your classroom into fun and easy to follow classroom arrangements. This site is recommended to newbie kindergarten and preschool teachers who use Open Court as their Language Arts Curriculum. Actually, this site could be used with any curriculum yet it is a great supplement to to Open Court.

www.teachingyourtoddler.com

This website was created by a mother who wanted to share her experience with other mothers. The site has plenty of information from cars to Canada or from the 4th of July to Bastille Day. The author has provided weekly themes for moms to do with their child. Additionally, the author does make it a point to say that this website is not curriculum but is meant to teach in fun and exciting ways. For example, for a theme of dinosaurs, the author suggests many activities that can be done with toddlers, such as playing with toy dinosaurs or blowing up balloons to pretend that they are dinosaur eggs.

www.babies-and-sign-language.com

This website is awesome. It covers everything that needs to be known about how to sign with your baby. The website presents varios scenarios on how a typical baby would act. For example, a child who wakes up at 3 am in the morning crying or a child who is hungry during snack time. More often than not, the parent will try to guess the child's needs and eventually become frustrated. This website makes it a point to explain the benefits of baby sign language and it directs the reader to many other interesting subjects such as intellectual, psychological and emotional development.
Additionally, this website has links to Youtube where they demonstrate how mothers and children interact using sign language.

The Assignment

Hello everyone!
As part of an assignment for my Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education, I am required to present several teacher websites that I find interesting. These websites present teaching strategies on classroom management, arrangements and organizations, and activities geared towards children from birth to age 8.
